As we informed you a few days ago, the community discovered a serious security hole in the Games of the Safe Saga software that allowed the attackers to execute remote code, steal information or even take control of affected computers.

The reaction of the Japanese company was to close the PVP online mode of the Games of the Saga Dark Souls while the problem was investigated and a solution was searched.

Now, through a statement published on Twitter, they have explained that “we are aware of the technical difficulties that the players of the Dark Souls games have experienced on PC. Thanks to the community we discovered the cause and we are working on a solution.”

“In addition, we have expanded research to Elden Ring, and we have taken the necessary security measures to guarantee this title on all platforms in which it is published.”

Because of this, “Online Services for the Saga Dark Souls on PC will not be resumed until after the release of Elden Ring. We will continue doing everything possible to return the service as soon as possible.”

There is no concrete date for this, although Elden Ring is published on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next February 25. It is expected, according to Bandai Namco’s statements, which online returns to Dark Souls on PC from that date.
