BVB: TV transmission canceled in Russia

The Russian TV station Matchv apparently broke off the TV broadcast of the game prematurely due to pro-Ukrainian messages during the game between Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

As ntv reported, the TV commentator was eradicated in the face of the embassies. “Unfortunately, we have to stop the broadcast for reasons that lie outside our control,” said Igor Kytmanov: “In general, it is said that football and politics should be considered separately, but this rule is not always respected in the Bundesliga.” The channel “Futbol 3” of the transmitter matchv then broke the transfer already at half time.

The BVB and his fans had spread on very different because of the demand to stop the war in Ukraine. Letters, messages on the video screens, Ukrainian flags on the grandstands. In Russia, the highest German play class is still broadcast differently than Ligue 1 or the Premier League.

The DFL has been watching the situation for a long time. Already in early March, the DFL was apart from an extraordinary termination, so that the “peace bluff from the stadiums continue to reach the Russian population”.

In addition, Russian revenues of around one million euros were donated for the people involved by the war in Ukraine. The prerequisite for this decision was, however, that the provided basic signal is sent unchanged in Russia. If the “TV base signal is repeatedly censored, this would result in extraordinary termination of the DFL,” said it then.
